Mixed doubles night, end-of-season event or club championship: badminton club tournaments have their own logic. The Club Turnier Manager is the tournament app that knows it – it handles the draw, the schedule and the standings while you play.
The Right Format: Fun or Competitive?
Few sports have as lively a fun-tournament culture as badminton: the round-based format with doubles and mixed partners redrawn every round is especially popular in club badminton – variety and enjoyment come first. If you want a bit more tension, play Last One Standing: every defeat costs a life, and whoever is left at the end wins. For a genuine club championship with a title on the line, the Swiss or knockout system is the better choice, optionally with a preceding group stage.
We describe how we use random doubles pairings in our own club in the article Which Tournament Format Suits Your Event? For more on the balanced competitive format, see our explanation of the Swiss System, and for combining groups with a final round, read Knockout With or Without a Group Stage.
Games to 15 – or However Your Association Counts
In Switzerland, badminton has officially been scored to 15 points since August 2026: rally-point scoring, best of three games, with a two-point lead required at a tie, capped at 21. Other countries still partly use the previous scoring to 21 points (capped at 30). And on a club night, many clubs only play one game per match anyway. In the Club Turnier Manager you choose the number of sets freely – a single set, a fixed number of sets or best of two to four – and enter the points per set, no matter what you play to. Alternatively, play timed matches, for example ten minutes each.
Fair Doubles and Mixed Draws
Men's doubles, women's doubles and especially mixed are a fixture in club badminton – often mixed regardless of gender when the fun factor comes first. The tournament app handles the draw automatically: either with fixed doubles pairs that you enter once and keep through every round, or with partners reshuffled every round. In competitive mode, women and men can play in separate categories.
Example: Mixed Night With 20 Players on 5 Courts
With 20 participants and 5 courts, exactly five doubles matches run at the same time each round – nobody has to sit out. With one game per match, allow roughly 10 to 12 minutes of play plus 2 to 3 minutes for changeover. That fits around eight rounds into two hours, and by the end everyone has played with lots of different partners. Our tournament schedule calculator shows how to work out your own timing.
Enter Results Right in the Hall
No Wi-Fi in the sports hall? No problem. Results can be entered directly in the browser, set by set, completely offline. Wrong entries are corrected with one click, and the interim standings are up to date after every round – handy when several courts are playing at once. At the end, export the standings as a PDF for the prize-giving or as a CSV for the club archive.
Your Next Badminton Club Championship
Choose the format, register participants, draw – done. The tournament app runs entirely offline in the browser, with no installation or sign-up required.

Can the app draw a mixed tournament with rotating partners?
Yes. In fun mode, the app draws new doubles and mixed partners every round so that as many players as possible play with and against each other. For tournaments with fixed pairs, you enter the doubles once and keep them through every round.
What do we play to – 11, 15 or 21 points?
That is up to you. You choose the number of sets and enter the points per set – whether to 11, 15 or 21. Alternatively, play timed matches.
What happens with an odd number of players?
Extra players sit out in a fair rotation, or a singles match is inserted per round. You decide whether players sitting out receive bye points.
Do we need internet access at the venue?
No. The Club Turnier Manager is a single file that runs completely offline in the browser – on a laptop, tablet or PC. The tournament state is saved locally and automatically.
How much does the tournament app cost?
You can try the demo version for free, without signing up. The licence for all of your club’s internal tournaments is a one-time payment of 39 CHF/EUR/USD – no subscription, no recurring fees.
Conclusion
Whether a relaxed mixed tournament or a club championship with standings: badminton tournaments live or die by a schedule that fits the group size and a draw that stays fair – even with rotating doubles partners. The Club Turnier Manager handles exactly that, so you can focus on the game.
